Again, another month passed and I didn’t put much effort into keeping my blog alive. Lots of interesting things happen in the passed few weeks. I could have written three or four blog entries. But for this round, I will blog about my participation in Kuala Lumpur Design Week 2010 (KLDW).
Before that, I like to share a side story about KLDW. Although this is the second year for KLDW which were held annually, but thing doesn’t start out smoothly if compare with last year exhibitions. Some of my friends went to the exhibitions early in the first day and find out that most things were not ready for viewing. So, they voice out their dissatisfaction loudly in Facebook. Unexpectedly, the president of KLDW committee came in and has an argument with them. Just like any other argument on the internet, things start to get ugly as more peoples joined in the discussion. Luckily, the “heat” went down after a few days.
Now, let’s go back to the topic on my participation in KLDW 2010. Actually, I didn’t really participate in KLDW but I do have a few artworks and design being shown at KLDW 2010 under other exhibitors.

My submission for CUTOUT Magazine cover design competition is shown at CapSquare KL, Malaysia. My artwork is near the top right and stop looking at the girl. Photo courtesy of CUTOUT Magazine.

My submissions for UrbanCreatur3s’s BOXIES is shown at CapSquare KL, Malaysia. Photo courtesy of UrbanCreatur3s.

My submissions for Digitization is shown at National Art Gallery and Petronas Art Gallery. These are all the artworks I submit one year ago, I am not really sure which one is shown at which location. Larger images of these illustrations can be seen at my deviantart.
Ironically, I didn’t visit any of the exhibitions which have my artworks shown as I was spending whole day in the KLDW Super Ani/Motion Conference. I won’t blog about the conference here, but if you want to read more about it, you can visit my friend, Aidi’s blog, as he had written a pretty good blog entry about it.

All the attendant for the KLDW conference will get a bag, a KLDW book, and a tag which I think is quite neat.

Oh look! My artwork in the book! I can’t remember that I had submit my “Crazy World” artwork to them and the print crop my artwork.
